Ingredients

  • 8 oz bag Mini Pretzels
  • 12.34 oz container King David White Chocolate Coins
  • 6 oz bag Unreal Dark Chocolate Crispy Quinoa Gems
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 to 4 drops Food Coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. *Please note that you need to have a sheet of waxed paper and all of your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start making the recipe as the melted chocolate will harden pretty quickly. You do not need to rush, but you do not want to be opening bags after the chocolate is melted!

  2. Place a two-foot long piece of waxed paper on your work surface.

  3. Add the pretzels to a sieve and shake them gently to remove the excess salt and any pretzel crumbs.

  4. Add the chocolate coins to a large microwave-safe bowl and heat them on 50% power for one-minute intervals until the chocolate starts to melt. Stir in between each interval, even if it doesn’t look like anything is happening. Once, the chocolate starts to melt, heat at 50% power for 30-second intervals, again stirring after each one, until the chocolate is completely melted. Do NOT heat at full power, or you will ruin the chocolate!

  5. Add the vanilla and a few drops of food coloring if you want the chocolate to be tinted. Stir together. I only added two drops of red color to this batch, and I would have preferred the color with three or four. Do NOT add more vanilla or color after the first addition, or your chocolate may seize up and get clumpy.
  6. Add the pretzels to the chocolate mixture, then stir until all the pretzels are evenly coated.

  7. Add half of the “M & M’s” and mix them in. Immediately spread the mixture out on the sheet of waxed paper, then sprinkle the remaining “M & M’s” evenly over the pretzels. Press as many of them as you can gently into the chocolate before it hardens. Allow the chocolate to cool and fully harden before moving to the next step.

  8. Once the chocolate is completely hardened, break the pretzel mix into pieces, and transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature.
