How to Make Vegan Light Brown Sugar

Make your own vegan light brown sugar for a fraction of the cost of store bought.

Ingredients

  • 400 g (2 c) Vegan Sugar
  • 20 g (1 TBS) Dark Agave Nectar
  • 20 g (1 TBS) Molasses

Instructions

  1. Add the sugar, agave, and molasses to your stand mixer bowl, or to a sturdy metal bowl if you are mixing by hand.

  2. Mix with the paddle attachment on low speed until combined, then increase speed and mix on medium for about two minutes until uniformly blended. Or, use a sturdy spoon and mix the agave and molasses into the sugar by hand, pushing down and scraping the sugar against the bottom of the bowl. Continue until all the clumpy bits are mixed in and the mixture is uniformly blended.

  3. Store in an airtight container.
